KEEP THE TRAILS OF NOCKAMIXON STATE PARK ACCESSIBLE AND SAFE

The Friends of Nockamixon boasts a small group of volunteers that concentrate on maintaining the 37 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails in the park. This group handles the cleanup of a multitude of downed trees annually, mows the trails, and keeps invasives at bay by trimming and sickling.  This is work that, without our volunteers, would not be completed, as the park’s staff is kept so busy with the maintenance of general use areas.

Years ago, the Friends purchased a used tractor which today desperately needs to be replaced. We have identified a used Kubota tractor in excellent condition with the needed attachments as an ideal replacement.

We are hoping that we can count on you for support. We have already raised $13,000 in generous donations, and we need an additional $6,000 to purchase this critical piece of equipment.

Please consider making a donation to help this very worthy cause. Donations of any size would be most welcome! You can also become a member of the Friends of Nockamixon State Park (FONSP) chapter of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation.  Becoming a member or making a donation can be done here on the website (FriendsOfNockamixonStatePark.org). You may also donate by mailing a check to Friends of Nockamixon State Park (memo: tractor fund), 1542 Mountain View Drive, Quakertown, PA 18951 or dropping a cash donation at the collection box located inside the park office on route 563 (labeled tractor fund).

Your donation and ongoing support are so appreciated, and we would love to have you as a fellow member of FONSP!
